Introduction to HypnoBirthing...

Aku ada janji nak share pasal HypnoBirthing ni kan?? So..harini aku tunaikan janji aku separuh. Aku bukan expert dalam HypnoBirthing ni tau. Bersalin pun tak pernah lagi kot! Hehe...Aku sekadar berkongsi ilmu. Kalau ada yang nak share pengalaman or tambah2 info boleh komen or email. Nanti aku tlg publishkan....

The Mongan Method, is a unique method of relaxed, natural childbirth education, enhanced by hypnosis techniques, providing the missing link, that allows women to use their natural instincts to bring about a safer, easier, more comfortable birthing in a way that most mirrors nature. Emphasis is placed on pregnancy and childbirth, as well as on pre-birth parenting and the subconsciousness of the pre-born baby.

What is Hypnosis?
Hypnosis is a naturally induced state of relaxed concentration — a state of mind and body in which we communicate suggestions to our subconscious mind. This part of our mind influences what we think, how we feel, and the choices we make. It can actually control pain. There is no magic to achieving success with self-hypnosis. Almost anyone who chooses to can reach deep relaxation and redirected focus. When having your baby with HypnoBirthing, what you will experience is similar to the daydreaming or focusing that occurs when you are engrossed in a book or staring at a fire. You will be conversant and in good spirits — totally relaxed, but fully in control. You will be aware of your body’s contractions, but will be able to determine the extent to which you feel the surge. You will experience your birthing in an atmosphere of calm and relaxation, without the fear and tension that cause pain. Your body’s natural anesthesia (endorphins) will replace the stress hormones that cause pain. When it is time for you baby to be born, you will be fully awake and involved.

(Senang all depends on your state of mind . The pain, the panic....It's all  in your mind, the way you control it)

What are the benefits of HypnoBirthing?
  • Teaches deep levels of relaxation to eliminate the Fear-Tension-Pain Syndrome before, during and after birthing.

Will I be unconscious or will I remember my birth experience?
Despite misconceptions and misinformation, you are definitely not unconscious during self-hypnosis. The HypnoBirthing mother is deeply relaxed, but she is also an active participant in the labor process. Though she is deeply relaxed, she is totally aware and may return to a conversant state or choose to become mobile whenever she desires. HypnoBirthing mothers often find that they experience time distortion and are not distracted by other people or their birthing environment, while they focus on their birthing and their baby.

How is the Birth Companion involved?
The Birth Companion of the mother’s choice is an integral part of the HypnoBirthing experience. He or she practices with the mother in helping to prepare for deep relaxation. During labor the Birth Companion guides the laboring mother through hypnosis prompts, relaxation techniques, deepening methods, and visualizations, provides comfort measures, and joins in welcoming the new baby, often by receiving the baby as he emerges.

(FYI birth companion ni boleh jadi suami, mak, kakak, adik, bff...sesiapa je. But utk org Malaysia biasanya cuma husband je dibenarkan teman isteri masa bersalin kan? Kat negara lain like US or UK ada trained/professional birthing coach yg dipanggil "doula". Doula ni mmg kejenye teman ibu2 dlm proses kelahiran utk bg support & ajarkan or ingatkan teknik2 bersalin like Lamaze Technique, breathing technique, etc...)

Will HypnoBirthing be useful to me if I don't opt for a natural childbirth or if circumstances necessitate medical intervention or a surgical birth?
Absolutely. The things you will learn in your HypnoBirthing classes will help you to learn relaxation skills that will be useful to both you and your baby, regardless of your birth experience. In the event that medical intervention of any sort is needed, you will find yourself better able to remain calm and in control. Mothers who have needed scheduled cesareans for medical reasons report that they were totally relaxed before, during and after the procedure. Many report that they needed little or no medication following the birth, and they were able to return to normal functioning in a very short period of time.

Is it true that I will experience a pain-free birth with HypnoBirthing?
HypnoBirthing does not promise painless birthing, though many HypnoBirthing mothers do report having a relatively pain-free birth or one that they were able to manage easily. When the cause of pain--fear that constricts the birthing muscles—is eliminated, birthing can be accomplished in a shorter period and much more comfortably. A relaxed mother’s body will produce more endorphins, nature’s own relaxants. HypnoBirthing mothers may still experience sensations of tightening or pressure; but most describe their birth experience as working with their body through the sensations, and thus avoiding the excruciating pain that is frequently spoken of by women who choose other methods of preparation for birthing.

(HypnoBirthing tak menjanjikan yg korg akan melalui fasa bersalin tu tanpa rasa sakit langsung. Korang still akan rasa sakit. Well....gila kau tak sakit time bersalin tu? Mmg la sakit kot! But HypnoBirthing ni membantu korang deal dgn rasa sakit tu. Like bila aku kena Braxton-Hicks....sakit kot! Walupun tak sakit mcm bersalin but still sakit. But HypnoBirthing ni ajar camne nak deal dgn rasa sakit tu. Sebab tu dalam sakit2 Braxton-Hicks aku masih boleh drive sorg2. Tu Braxton-Hicks la...kalau da nak bersalin, da fully dilated, baby da nak keluar....kau drive sorg2 mmg mencari maut namanya! Hehehe...)

  1. control mind la kan teknik ni..uhuuhu..kl da sakit nt harap2 bole la nak control..nak relax..memang susah nak buat..adehhh

    1. yup.betul2....die mcm kawal minda so tak fikir sgt rs sakit tu...
      tu bersalin nnt xtau la boleh buat ke that's why die ajar start practice dr ms preggy lagi..
